What is Call Termination?

Call termination is the routing of phone calls from one company to another. Call termination is also known as voice termination. Call termination is routed through Voice-Over-Internet-Protocol (VOIP). It allows long-distance calls at a lesser cost than the traditional public telephone network. Almost every call center uses call termination services to reach out to their global customers.

Have you noticed, when you call customer service, sometimes it takes forever to connect you to a customer service representative? You have to bear the repetitive beeping or a recorded message from the provider to wait. This is because of Call termination.
